Pretty much everyone loves pizza! It&#8217;s customisable, tasty and easy to make&#8230; when you know how!<br \/>\nBut high-fat takeaway pizza gives this doughy goodness a bad rep. Pizza doesn\u2019t have to be high in calories and packed with fat to taste good. You can still live a healthy balanced lifestyle and reach your goals &#8211; all while still enjoying pizza. And we want to show you how!<\/p>\n<p>Our latest homemade pizza recipe is only a fraction of the calories (426 kcals) and fat (9g fat) of that in a takeaway pizza and is packed with 29 of protein.<br \/>\nPlus, you can completely customise the toppings and pack it full of your favourite fresh, nourishing ingredients to add your unique spin to it.<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients (Serves 6):<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Pizza dough:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>400g strong flour<\/li>\n<li>7g dried yeast<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp oil<\/li>\n<li>230ml warm water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Toppings<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>150ml tomato passata<\/li>\n<li>300g cooked chicken<\/li>\n<li>1 green pepper, sliced<\/li>\n<li>6 mushrooms, sliced<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp sweetcorn<\/li>\n<li>75g light mozzarella, grated<\/li>\n<li>75g light mozzarella ball, sliced<\/li>\n<li>4 tsp oregano<\/li>\n<li>Fresh basil<\/li>\n<li>Salt and pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Method:<\/h3>\n<p>Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, oil and warm water in a large mixing bowl.<br \/>\nKnead the ingredients until it forms a smooth dough.<br \/>\nTransfer the dough to a floured board and knead for a further 5 mins then return to mixing bowl.<br \/>\nPlace a damp tea towel over the bowl and place somewhere warm to rise for an hour, it should double in size.<br \/>\nOnce it has doubled in size, knead the dough again for 2-3 minutes then place back in a warm area to rise again for a further 30 minutes to an hour.<br \/>\nKnock the air out of the dough and split evenly into 6 large dough balls.<br \/>\nRoll out each dough ball on a floured board, shaping it into thin pizza bases.<br \/>\nPlace a pizza baking tray in a preheated oven at 240c.<br \/>\nPlace pizza onto a hot baking tray then top with passata, veggies, chicken, cheese and oregano and season to taste.<br \/>\nPut the pizza in the oven for 10-12 minutes until crispy on the edges and bottom and the cheese is melted.<br \/>\nServe with a colourful side salad.<\/p>\n<h3>Top Tip:<\/h3>\n<p>The pizza dough can be kept in the fridge for up to 5 days, so why not save some time and make a bigger batch so you have pizza ready to go later in the week too!<\/p>\n<p>____<\/p>\n<p>PureGym wishes you a lot of fun cooking and a good appetite!<\/p>\n<p>____<\/p>\n<p>For more healthy recipe ideas, check out the\u00a0recipe section of our <a href=\"\/en\/blog\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">blog<\/a> which is packed full of \u00a0nutritious and most importantly tasty meals to help you reach your goals![\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let&#8217;s face it, pizza is delicious.
