    What is fitness membership fee reimbursement and how does it work at PureGym?

    When you sign up for a fitness membership with a gym, your health insurance company may contribute towards the cost. The basic health insurance LAMal does not cover this, but many supplementary insurances do. To reimburse your fitness membership, make sure your supplementary insurance includes this type of coverage called “health prevention”.

    At PureGym, thanks to the Qualitop certification, the amount of your refund can be up to 500 CHF.

    Can my PureGym membership be reimbursed by my health insurance?

    Yes, PureGym are Qualitop certified so you can be reimbursed by your health insurance provided you sign a contract that covers fitness costs.

    What happens if I want to cancel my gym membership? Will I be reimbursed?

    PureGym offers monthly and annual memberships. You can cancel your monthly subscriptions at any time. If you wish to cancel an annual membership, you will need to contact PureGym directly to see if you can receive a refund.

    How long does it take to process a refund?

    Health insurance funds process a reimbursement within an average of 10 days.

    What should I do if I have problems with my refund?

    If there are problems with your refund, you will need to contact your insurer.

    Is the refund policy the same for all gyms in Switzerland?

    In Switzerland, not all gyms can be reimbursed by health insurance. Before joining a gym, make sure it is recognised by your health insurance. All our gyms are Qualitop certified and recognised by many insurance companies. Different health insurers may have different reimbursement policies.

    How do I request a refund?

    To take out supplementary insurance that covers your fitness expenses with your insurer, you must present:

      1. a Qualitop conformation form;
      2. an invoice or receipt provided by your certified sports club

    To receive reimbursement of fitness subscription fees, you can download the health insurance form at Login. Fill out, print and send the form to your health insurance fund who will transfer the reimbursement. On average, health insurance funds process reimbursements within 10 days.
